Not much is known about these human-seal hybrids as they are relatively elusive. The largest congregations have been found near landfills and plane crashes. These creatures have been found to cause immense distress in those who look at them. They are known to feed on metal and occasionally hamburgers. Some also speculate that they feed off of fear as well. They have mainly appeared with gray and brown colorings. They have the eyes and nose of humans, which are enlarged, as well as ears but on a much smaller scale. Their classifications are still being determined due to their hybrid nature. Some people have reported that these creatures have approached them, seemingly lusting after physical contact. Instead of moving like normal seals, they use their human-like fingers attached to their flippers to grasp the ground beneath them and seemingly crawl around. It remains unknown when these creatures first evolved into what they are today. Their mating rituals remain unknown, but they are believed to reproduce relatively quickly as it is likely they would have gone extinct otherwise. The noises they produce are akin to a seal’s chuffing but much more wet and guttural sounding. They are occasionally heard begging for mercy. They are believed to be able to imitate human words they have heard but in an extremely distorted manner. These creatures originally inhabited Antarctica and the North Pole, however, incidents have caused them to migrate around the world.

Controversy

Illegal Hunting

Many believe their mere existence is an abomination, and they must be exterminated. This has led to the illegal hunting of this species. The species itself is not protected. They are illegal to hunt due to the dangers they present to humans. There have been several missing persons cases that are believed to be linked to these creatures, but they cannot be proven. It is also unknown what exactly happened to the missing humans. The judicial system does not know what to do regarding these cases because these creatures are not fully human and thus cannot be held to human morals and laws.

The 9/11 Incident

This was the first documented observance of these creatures flocking to plane crashes. Prior reports of horrifying creatures circling plane crashes had been made by survivors, but could not be proven. On September 11, 2001, when the two planes crashed into the World Trade Center, these creatures were seen filing toward the buildings. Their sudden and mass appearance struck terror into the hearts of those watching. It is unknown how these creatures knew what was unfolding. Many observers reported feeling a draining sensation while observing these creatures. Once the towers collapsed, they began swarming towards them en masse. They were seen eating the metal of the planes and buildings. After this incident, they began to appear more frequently, so it is believed that this led to a dramatic spike in population.
